Happiness so short lived as fan favorite Cornet Mamabolo exits The River few montjs after joining the soapie.
His fans were happy that they will get to see their favorite actor on screen again, but little did they know that it will be for a very short period of time.
Two months back the actor announced his return to small screen but it won’t be for long till he goes back into hibernation.
The former Skeem Saam actor had taken up the role of Lerumo on 1Magic’s telenovela The River.
On the drama series he acts a s villain which was contradictory to his Skeem Saam role of being a mama’s boy. According to December teasers the actor is going to die while trying to kill someone and that would mark his exit.
TVSA December teasers reveal that Lerumo will be caught by Zweli while in the act of trying to murder Beauty while in the action he will also die marking the end of his role on the show.
Coming into The River, Lerumo is Kabzela’s half brother who is a serial killer but it all ends when he gets bursted in action by Zweli (Hlomla Dandala who is also exiting the show).
However Cornet’s brief come back is not a surprise at all as he once revealed to local publication Drum Magazine that coming back to acting isn’t easy as he’s focusing on his businesses and he can only take roles that are short lived and wont drain him much.
Last year he announced his final exit from Skeem Saam and this came as a shock to everyone because he had been playing the role of Thabo Maputla for over a decade since the time Skeem Saam begun.
His reasons for exiting were because he wanted to focus on his business ventures and some other things in life as well.
