Doctor at 6.30pm on etv and guluva at 20.30pm on SABC1 such is the life of Fanele Ntuli who joins Uzalo to replace Omuhle Gela who quit her job.
This is after actress Omuhle Gela announced her exit from the show last month due to contract disagreements and is being replaced by Fanele Ntuli.
Gela acted the role of Nomaswazi Magwaza a daughter of a crime boss who wanted to take over the ropes of leading the family so Uzalo writers have decided to continue with the character regardless the exit od Omuhle as they will find a replacement for her.
This comes after it was also reported weeks ago that the characters of Pastor Gwala and Nosipho were also exiting the show.
According to tabloid newspaper, Daily Sun, Durban Gen actress Fanele Ntuli who acts as Dr Zondo on the show has joined Uzalo taking over the ropes as Nomaswazi replacing Omuhle who could not take disrespect from production team.
A source inside Uzalo confirmed this new development saying everything is now a done deal and Fne will make a debuted after Omuhle’s prerecorded scenes are over.
“The deal between Fanele and Uzalo has been finalized. As soon as Omuhle’s prerecorded parts end, viewers will see the new Nomaswazi – Fanele,” said the insider.
Another insider came in to pour cement on the news in support of what has been said prior saying;
“She was lucky to find a job after Durban Gen. After it was cancelled, actors were left frustrated and unemployed. I’m happy for Fanele, and we think that she is the perfect replacement.”
The Uzalo Spokesperson, Nomfundo Zondi confirmed Omuhle’s exit and also revealed that her character will not be written off but but will make a way to continue with her story line but refused to reveal who the replacement was.
