The murder trial of Bafana Bafana goal keeper Senzo Meyiwa has resumed at the Pretoria High Court in Soutj Africa.
On the witness and testifying stand today was Meyiwa’s friend who made more damning allegations about accused number 2 claiming he’s responsible for the murder.
Tumelo Madlala former best friend of Senzo Meyiwa was being cross-examined by the defence on the events of the day when he returned to the stand on Monday morning in court.
He was very adamant that accused number 2 was one of the hitmen who took away the precious life of Senzo Meyiwa in Octobet 2014.
Tumelo made a dramatic U-turn as initially had said he couldn’t recognise the killer during an identity parade in September he claimed he could not identify any of the hitmen.
Now he has claimed and pointed out at accused number 2 as one of the people who were involved on the groosome murder of Senzo.
The defence lawyer has now questioned the
The legitimacy of Madlala’s testimony has now been questioned by the defence lawyer as he seems to have changed his stance as far as identitifying the perpetrator is concerned.
“I put it to you that you only managed to point out accuse number two in court because you have been watching television and [following] the media,” he said.
In a response Mandla said: “No, I deny that. I’m not the kind of person who is interested in watching TV.
“Furthermore, I’d like to point out that the suspect I pointed to on that particular day [the day Meyiwa was killed] was wearing a jacket with a hoodie even if I can’t recall the colour of the jacket. I remember that clearly.”
