59 Eastern Cape health workers hospitalized after vaccination
A total of 59 health workers in the Eastern Cape, who had been vaccinated, have been admitted to hospitals in the province after testing positive for Covid-19.
According to the latest epidemiology report from the Eastern Cape health department, of those admitted, 33 were in hospitals and clinics in the Nelson Mandela Bay region.
The Eastern Cape health department said it was imperative for the public to know that the vaccine was not meant to cure Covid-19, but to prevent severe illness and death from the virus.
