Zimbabwe tightens lockdown regulations
With so much Covid 19 cases increasing every single day. The Zimbabwe Republic Police has tightened and toughened up its response to the Covid regulations.
With the lockdown still in Place Zimbabweans just like South Africans and the rest of the world will have a New Year’s Eve with a difference.
The ZRP has banned all gatherings, all night prayers (Cross over services) musical concerts and any form of celebrations to the new year.
In a statement released by the Police yesterday they cited that they will intensify patrols and stop and searches in residential, industrial and farming areas.
Everyone is expected to be in their home as they do the count down to the new year.
In South Africa Minister of Police Bheki Cele imposed a 9pm curfew which will be guarded religiously by the police.
Fireworks and firecrackers have been banned in both Zimbabwe and South Africa. No hitting of tins or any form of noise is expected.
“The public must remain peaceful on 31 December 2020 and act in a responsible manner to curb crime. Children especially the girl child should be monitored and protected from criminal elements,” read part of the statement released by the ZRP.
