Chin’ono, Ngarivhume transfered to Chikurubi maximum Prison?
Reports reaching us is that Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono and Jacob Ngarivhume have been transferred to chikurubi maximum prison.
The two were arrested on allegations of inciting public violence by organizing protests that were set to disturbing day to day running of country’s business.
Opposition activist and lawyer Dough Coltart posted on his twitter account that the two had been transferred to Chikurubi maximum prison.
He also said Ngarivhume’s lawyer went to find out if this was true or not but was denied entrance.
The two are currently on remand as they fight for their freedom and bail applications have been surrendered with Chin’ono’s bail applications being denied.
Note that Apart from Coltart’s word no one else has proved this to be the case.
As IndAfrica we do not confirm this news to be true or false.
We received info that Hopewell & Jacob were going to be transferred to Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison this evening. Jacob’s lawyer Moses Nkomo went to Remand Prison to verify. He was denied access to them; they were put in leg-irons & put in the truck to be taken to Chikurubi.
