South Africa records 43 434 infections and 908 deaths
South Africa’s cases of Covid-19 keep increasing as they have now recorded 2642 new cases totaling to 43 434 infections in the country.
Deaths have also increased to 908.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize announced last night that 850 871 people have been tested and this has resulted to the increase in numbers of infections.
1 Million citizens of South Africa have completed the digital pretesting health check.
23088 people have recovered from the virus.
South Africa has the highest number of infections and deaths in Africa having nearly 25% of the continent’s cases.
Africa has to date recorded 179 271 cases with 80 215 recoveries and 4937 deaths.
Global statistics stand at 6.8 million with 3.3 million recoveries and close to 400 000 deaths.
