Fuel prices slashed in Zimbabwe


The Zimbabwe Energy Regulation Authority has approved to the slashing of fuel prices in the country.

Fuel prices have been slightly slashed with effect from Tuesday 5 May.

Diesel prices have been reduced from zw$21.52 to zw$20.48 per litre while blended petrol moves from zw$21.77 to zw$21.00

Most Zimbabwean motorists have been complaining about fuel prices being too high from their reach at the same time the fuel being a scarce commodity in the country.

Fuel prices have gone down world wide, as the industry is facing hard times.

Neighboring country to Zimbabwe , South Africa also reduced its fuel prices drastically last year with a litre of petrol costing as little as USD$0.66cents .
